Fifteen PhD students from across the Asia-Pacific region arrived at AIT on 10 September 2013 for one day of lectures as part of a 12-day summer academic exposure program called the Young Researchers’ School held under the Promotion for Sustainability in Postgraduate Education and Research (ProSPER.Net) program.

AIT Cricket Team reaches finals of Thailand Cricket League ‘A’ division

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) cricket team has reached the finals of the ‘A’ division of the Thailand Cricket League. The finals will be played on 13 October 2013 at the Harrow International School, where the AIT team will face the winner of the match between the Bangkok 11 Cricket Club and the Krishna Cricket Club.

JAXA delegation visits AIT, delineates new mid-term plan

A delegation from the Japan Aerospace Explortion Agency (JAXA) led by Dr. Hideshi Kozawa, Executive Advisor to the JAXA President, visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and explored various aspects of international cooperation and business. Meeting AIT’s Interim President Prof. Worsak Kanok Nukulchai on 9 September 2013, Dr. Kozawa outlined JAXA’s mid-term plan, which has been activated from 1 April 2013.

AIT students share Japan experience on learning from disasters

Five students from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) shared their experience about learning from disasters following their exchange program in Japan. The students highlighted the impacts of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, along with their experience on coastal disaster management in a series of presentation delivered on 30 August 2013 at AIT’s Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium.
Seminar on Environmentally Sustainable and Equitable Palm Oil
A seminar on "Environmentally Sustainable and Equitable Palm Oil: promoting sustainable pathways by exploring connections between flows, networks and systems at multiple levels" will be delivered by Dr. Maja Slingerland of Wageningen University will give a brief input on 2 September 2013 from 1400-1530 hours at Room S-101, School of Environment, Resources and Development, Academic Building South.
