AIT organizes a Seminar on Academic Offerings and Training Programs in Myanmar

Academic Offerings

AIT's School of Advanced Technologies (SAT), in cooperation with AITAA-Myanmar Chapter and Suntac Technologies, jointly organized an Academic Offerings Seminar on Monday, August 26, 2002 at the Conference Hall, MICT Park, Hlaing Campus, Yangon, MYANMAR. The seminar was sponsored by SAT and Suntac.

There were about 350 participants from Government agencies and institutions and private business firms as well as individual potential applicants to AIT attending the seminar.

At the opening ceremony, General Manager U Tin Myint of Suntac Technologies and Secretary U Aung Myo Thaik of AITAA (Myanmar Chapter) delivered the opening speeches, while Prof. Huynh Ngoc Phien, Dean of SAT, giving the keynote address.

During the seminar, SAT faculty members Dr. Nitin V. Afzulpurkar, Ir. Erik L. J. Bohez, Dr. Teerapat Sanguankotchakorn, Dr. Sumanta Guha and Prof. Michiro Kusanagi briefed on Academic Offerings on computer science, information management, telecommunications, space technology applications and research, industrial engineering and management, design and manufacturing engineering, mechatronics and microelectronics.

AIT delegation also distributed AIT application information and admission forms to potential applicants to AIT.


CAD/CAM/CAE/CNC & Automation Training Program
In cooperation with the Industrial Systems and Engineering (ISE) Program of AIT, Suntac Technologies, organized a CAD/CAM/CAE/CNC & Automation Training Program from August 27-29 2002 at the MICT Park, Hlaing Campus, Yangon, MYANMAR. Sponsored by Suntac Technologies, the training programs were attended by 30 participants from private business firms and government agencies.

Dr. Nitin V. Afzulpurkar, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for ISE Program and Microelectronic Program conducted training sessions on Automation Technology, while Associate Professor Erik L. J. Bohez of ISE Program and Mr. Than Lin of CIM Laboratory of ISE Program conducted training sessions on Design and Manufacturing Engineering.
