December 17-19: International Conference on 'Globalization, Innovation and Human Resources Development for Competitive Advantage'

The globalization process is pervading all economies. A large of this has resulted from advancements in technology, innovation, trade agreements at the global level and the expansion of multinational corporations' operations. How can their organizational learning, if their human resources are not continuously developed? With these rapid changes, human resource development becomes an even more crucial issue in government-business relations for the sustainable development of any economy.

In order to create awareness and help build the capacity to cope with these environmental changes, the School of Management at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in collaborations with the European Commission, Asia & IT & C, and Curtin University of Technology, Australia will host an international conference on 'Globalization, Innovation, and Human Resource Development for Competitive Advantage.'

The conference will be held on December 17-19, 2002 at the Imperial Queen's Park, Bangkok, Thailand.

The topics offered by the keynote speakers include 'R&D; Collaboration by SME: new opportunities and limitations in the face of globalization', ' the Persistence of National Difference in the New Global Division of Labor in services', ' the Global Challenge: Implications for Human Resource Management', and other interesting conceptual and empirical papers contributed to the conference.
