AT75.98 - Advanced Signal Processing Course,
Microelectronics Course Tele-lecture from Tokyo Institute of Technology this semester
This semester, Microelectronics field of study is offering one course Advanced Signal Processing using a combination of satellite, Internet and personal visits by professor Akinori Nishihara, a very well know
professor. This course is broadcast directly from Tokyo Institute of Technology to AIT (Chalerm Prakiet building room 218).
Japanese students in Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) Japan and students of AIT attend lecture course together - via a satellite and Internet link-up. The Tele-lectures are running until the end of this
semester. This course is offered as selected topics in the Microelectronics master degree program field of study, SAT.
The Tele-lectures are part of a pilot project under an agreement between Tokyo Tech and AIT in collaboration with the National Science and
Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand.
Senior master students and doctoral student are encouraged to attend the course. The class will be held every Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Course Outline:
I Robust Digital Filters
1. Realization of FIR and IIR systems and parasitic effects
2. Robust digital filters (Wave digital filters)
3. Lattice wave digital filters (parallel all pass structures)
II Multirate Signal Processing
1. Sampling rate alteration
2. Polyphase representation
3. Filter banks (with perfect reconstruction property)
4. Wavelets
III Adaptive Signal Processing
1. Adaptive filters (Modeling of unknown systems)
2. Adaptive algorithms (LMS, RLS, etc.)
3. Implementation and stability of adaptive algorithms
IV Implementation of DSP algorithms
1. Implementation issues and DSP (Digital signal processors)
2. System development using DSPs
