AIT to conduct seminar on RTG Joint Research Projects

AIT will conduct on Monday, 8 August 2005, 9.00 a.m. at the AIT Conference Center, a public seminar to disseminate the results of the AIT-RTG (Royal Thai Government) FYs 2002 and 2003 joint research to a wider public.

Since FY 2002, the Royal Thai Government (RTG) has granted annual funding, through the Office of the Education Council, to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to conduct joint research projects with state universities and research institutions in Thailand. The aim is to promote joint research and academic activities which will subsequently create possible long-term linkages between individual faculty members of AIT and its partner institutes in Thailand. It is also expected that these projects will serve as a catalyst for further joint venture into larger-scale research that will directly benefit Thailand and the region.

The joint research projects conducted were mostly in the field of technology and technology development, with a potential to benefit and enhance Thailand's competitiveness in a long run.

Participants invited to the event are widely among academicians, researchers, government officials, industrialists and potential end-users of the research outputs. Admission is free, but required advanced reservation.
