Lectures explore spirituality, technology and role of business in the 21st century

On 10 April 2006, AIT will host Her Holiness Maa Sai Lakshmi Devi to lecture on 'Spirituality and Technology' and Ms. Marilyn Tam to subsequently lecture on 'The Role of Business in the 21st Century.' The lectures will be delivered in the Milton Bender Auditorium from 1 to 3.30 p.m. The AIT community is invited.

Her Holiness is a teacher recognized throughout the world for her knowledge of ancient and modern spiritual practices. She is the inspiration behind Humanity in Unity (http://www.humanityinunity.org/HIU/Home/index.cfm), a nonprofit foundation that develops and administers humanitarian projects encompassing all ages, races, religions, nationalities and cultures.

Ms. Tam is the co-founder and executive director of the Us Foundation, which facilitates global action plans and addresses social, economic and environmental issues. Us Foundation is one of the partners for United Nations Habitat-II, and was nominated as a candidate for the Best Practice Award from the United Nations' Habitat II. (http://www.usfoundation.org)

Ms. Tam is also a director on the board of the Service Corps of Retired Executives Foundation (SCORE). SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration and is dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses in the United States (http://www.score.org). She has also been president of Reebok's apparel and retail products group; a member of the international board of the Reebok Human Rights Awards; co-chairwoman of the North American Marketing a Promotions for Universal Forum of Cultures, Barceoan, and is presently co-chairwoman for Universal Forum of Cultures, Monterrey 2007.
