SOM organizes 12th Asia Pacific Management Conference
The 12th Asia Pacific Management Conference (APMC –2006), organized by the School of Management in collaboration with the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), will be held at AIT 17 to 19 November 2006. The conference aims to provide a forum for academics and professionals to share experiences and knowledge for managing competitiveness in the knowledge economy. Papers presented at the conference may be considered for publication in the Asia Pacific Management Review journal after a preliminary review of the conference members followed by an official blind review process.
Theoretical, conceptual and empirical articles are welcome. Major topics include but not limited to: international business management, global competitive strategy, strategic management of technology, cross-cultural management issues, financial management, E-commerce/E-business, knowledge and intellectual capital management, human resource management, logistics and distribution, demand and supply chain management, E-marketing and relationship marketing, customer satisfaction and delight, customer relationship management and e-CRM, product development and manufacturing systems, quality management, accounting management, production and operations management, telecommunication management, environment management and sustainable development, operations research and quantitative methods.
An abstract or a full paper, written in English, should be e-mailed to the conference secretariat Ms. Sandhya Pradhan at apmc-12@ait.ac.th or Ms. Man-Ling Chang at apmr@proj.ncku.edu.tw by 15 July 2006. The abstract and the full paper should include the title of the paper and authors names, affiliations and e-mail address. The length of the abstract will be limited to 1,500 words. The authors will be notified of acceptance by 30 July 2006. Then two hard copies of the full paper and its electronic version in Microsoft Word should be sent to the conference secretariate by 30 September 2006. The paper length is limited to 15 single-spaced pages including an abstract. Authors are requested to prepare their papers by following the Asia Pacific Management Review journal format (see http://140.116.50.130/apmr).
Conference fee for registration before 15 October 2006 is US$200, which is payable by bank draft or wire transfer. After that, the fee for registration is US$250. For students the registration fees are US$ 50 for early registration and US$65 for late registration.
