AIT teams with University of Tokyo for program on sustainability
AIT and the University of Tokyo are organizing an intensive program on sustainability from 1 to 12 August 2006 at Greenery Resort, Khao Yai National Park, Nakhonrajasima, Thailand.
This is the third such program in two years. The theme of this program is Food and Energy Production in Southeast Asia. Previous programs have focused on such topics as Food Safety and Food Security and Food and Energy.
It is expected that 10 students each from AIT and the University of Tokyo, and two students each from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S.A., and Chalmers University, Sweden, will attend the program. The aim of the program is to provide an opportunity to the participants to realize sustainable development through experiential learning such as workshop, field visit, lectures and discussion sessions. Resource persons will be from the faculty of University of Tokyo and AIT.
