Electricity pricing workshop takes place 1-3 November
Electric Power System Management in the Energy field of study is organizing a training workshop on 'Electricity Pricing and Risk Management' during 1-3 November 2006 at the AIT Conference Center.
The training course covers the following topics: Pricing of Renewable Energy Resources; Fuel Adjustment Tariff Structure: A Case of Thailand; Generation Asset Valuation and Risk Analysis; Project Risk Management; Interrupted Energy Assessment Rate and Reliability; Improvement in Thai Power System; Very Small SPP Pricing and Policy; Renewable Portfolio Standard; Centralized Generation Scheduling in Competitive Environment; Electricity Price Regulation; Transmission and Distribution System Pricing; Integrated Resource Planning; Organization and Finance of Power Utility; Technical Visit.
Resource persons are energy experts from various universities and a company: Prof. Surapong Chirarattananon and Dr. Weerakorn Ongsakul, AIT; Dr. Bundit Limmeechokchai, Dr. Nopporn Leeprechanon, and Dr. Puree Sirasoontorn, Thammasat University; Dr. Surachet Tamronglak, Biomass Company; Dr. Vichit Lorchirachoonkul and Dr. Piyawadee Khovidhunkit, National Institute of Development Administration (Nida); and Dr. Kulyos Audomvongseree, Chulalongkorn University
Attendees are requested to register for this training in advance. The registration fee is US$275 (10,000 baht) per participant. For attendees from government agencies, state enterprises, universities or AIT alumni, the registration fee is US$225 (8,500 baht).
For students, the registration fee is $US160 (6,000 baht), covering lunch, refreshments, training material and field trip. Accommodation can be arranged at AIT Conference Center or hotel near AIT upon request of participants.
