EEM holds annual review workshop
The Environmental Engineering and Management (EEM) field of study will hold an Annual Review Workshop on 'Asian Regional Research Programme on Environmental Technology Phase II (ARRPET II)' on 6-9 November 2006 at AIT.
'Asian Regional Research Programme on Environmental Technology Phase II (ARRPET II)', coordinated by AIT, is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). ARRPET involves 18 National Research Institutions (NRIs) in 8 Asian countries, namely, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program's major research themes include: Industrial and Hazardous Waste Treatment and Management, Sustainable Solid Waste Landfill Management in Asia, Improving Air Quality in Asian Developing Countries and Wastewater Treatment and Management.
Over 40 researchers from 8 different Asian countries are expected to attend this event. The workshop aims at evaluation and discussion of the results and achievements of the on-going project research under ARRPET during 2006.
