AIT, UNU to conduct workshop, formalize accord
From 27-28 March 2007, a United Nations University (UNU)-AIT workshop will be held at AIT during which a memorandum of understanding between two institutions will also be signed formally recognizing AIT as an UNU affiliated institute.
The main objectives of the workshop will be to look into the operational aspects of the AIT-UNU cooperation. Dr. Srikanthan Herath, senior academic program officer, Environment and Sustainable Development Programme, UNU and an
AIT alumnus, and Prof. Ajit Annachhatre, contact person and coordinator on the UNU-AIT initiative from AIT have been actively following up on the arrangements.
