Abstract:
In Japan, the first step leading to the successful development of agricultural machinery and mechanization took place in 1945. As a result, agricultural mechanization led to a decrease in the farming population and therefore an increase the manufacturing population. To compensate for the decreased man power, various equipment were developed using different techniques with the progression of the time. Equipment needed for land preparation / tillage was one of the priority areas, and more emphasis was given since the early stages.
Rotary tillage equipment have been developed and continuously improved as an attachment to walking and ridden tractors for cultivating paddy rice fields. The optimum design of the rotary blade arrangement for the rotary shaft is one of the most important requirements which influence the tillage performance. The number of arrangements increased rapidly as like a progression equation in accordance with the increase of the number of rotary systems. Therefore, the expert CAD system was developed for the rotary blade arrangement to solve this problem.
