The AIT Language Center will organize a Japanese class for beginners.
Class schedule: starts on 15th of January and finishes before the mid-term exams in March. Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Class size: maximum 20 students, minimum 10 students
Tuition fee: 1500 Baht for the whole course of 19.5 hours. (2 days a week, 1.5 hour for each day, 19.5 hours of class in total).
Please go to the cashier for the payment now and bring your receipt to LRC office (room 216) in the Language Center Building. Please note that *available seats are limited*, thus it will be a first-come-first-served basis. Your registration is not finished until your payment is completed.
The main objective of the class will be enhancing one's skill of basic practical Japanese while deepening an understanding of Japan and Japanese by learning with interesting and fun materials in addition to basic Japanese texts. The class will have an introduction on Japanese culture (including haiku, religious background, manga, anime, and music), traditions (tea ceremony, and zen) arts, politics, economics, literature, business, and current topics, you name it.
Students who have basic knowledge of Japanese already might make use of it too. There may be advanced classes in March or later.
Class Coverage: Hiragana (including introduction of katakana and some basic kanji), basic grammars, and practical conversations. The content of the class is flexible and will reflect your wishes as much as possible.
Instructor's professional background:
- Holding a Bachelor's degree in law (international comparative laws)
- Experience in teaching English (4 years) and Japanese Culture in English
- Top level competent Japanese-English translator and interpreter in Bangkok who deals with government agencies JICA, JETRO, including Thai government entities, and with major Japanese companies such as NTT, Olympus, and Idemitsu.
- Holding a license in Japanese traditional tea ceremony
- Native-Japanese speaker
