An eight day long regional training workshop on “Area-Wide Integrated Pest Management of Fruit Flies in South and SE Asia” is being organized at Tien Giang, Vietnam from 7-14 December 2010. Organized jointly by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the Vietnam National Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Programme and the FAO Regional IPM Programme, the event will witness participation from 11 countries.
The workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of country teams in developing area-specific fruit fly IPM to support smallholder horticulture producers to produce clean, safe fruits and vegetables linking them to the local and export markets. Detailed program is available at this link.
