Technology Needs Assessment Workshop

A three day workshop on Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) in Asia will be organized by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) from 19-21 January 2011. TNA is a capacity building project to enable participating countries to identify their technology needs for mitigation and adaption. It also seeks to prepare an action plan for implementation.

The workshop will provide inputs and training s to national experts and consultants on the issues of technology prioritization process; barrier analysis; and preparation of technology action plan. The training will be attended by the experts and consultants from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Georgia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

The UNEP Risoe Centre (URC), Denmark has engaged the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development in the context of Climate Change (SDCC), AIT, for implementing Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) in developing Asian countries.
