Dr. Rafiul received his doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1985, M.S. degree in Computer Applications from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok in 1980, and M.S. degree in Computer Science from the Rangoon University, Burma in 1975.
Abstract:
Cloud computing has the potential for reducing software development, test, and deployment costs for enterprises. It is also a promising paradigm for making the data centers more efficient. In this talk I will present the rationale for cloud computing, explain the definition of cloud computing provided by NIST, and discuss various technologies that make up cloud computing.
