The Free and Open Source Solutions for Geoinformatics (FOSS4G) Asia 2014 conference will be organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 2-5 December 2014.
The Conference aims to bring together users and developers who are working in the field of open source geoinformatics. According to Prof. Nitin K Tripathi of AIT, the theme of this year’s conference is “Enabling Geospatial Asia through Open and Participatory ICT Ecosystem.” The Conference will cover all aspects of free and open source solutions, open data and open standards.
FOSS4G-Asia2014 also commemorates ten years since the FOSS-GRASS User Conference was held at Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand between 2-5 September 2004.
