Filipino artists to perform 12 Feb.
Select Filipino artists will showcase their eloquent vocals and dexterity of musical instruments on Sunday, 12 February 2006 at the AIT Conference Center auditorium.
A pre-Valentine concert dubbed 'Love Notes: Music for the Hearts' will feature love songs ranging from classics to pop. Filipino balladeers will impersonate even the original artists. Other songs are rearranged completely so as to make the audience forget what the original song sounds like. For instance, the treatment of Aerosmith's 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing' will be sultry and filled with passionate long notes, which will be kept streaming from instrument to instrument. The rendition of 'Crazy Love' will be another song to keep one's ears open as blending of voices come smooth with deep intensity.
Aside from seasoned musicians, the concert will include the voices of Filipino AIT students.
Organized by the AIT Filipino Students' Association, the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at 100, 200 and 300 baht. General admission is 50 baht. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund FILA projects. For further information, call Armi at Ext. 7582 or Kathrina at Ext. 7297.<p
