Event benefits girls in Nepal
A group of women from Nepal is organizing a lunch and sale of Nepali products to benefit girls' studies in Nepal. The event takes place at 11 a.m., 18 September at Korea House. All proceeds will sponsor the education of girls in Nepal.
A Nepali set lunch, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, is 50 baht per plate, and momos chicken is 30 baht per plate. Also on sale are pashmina shawls, bags, costume jewellery, embroidered T-shirts for men and women, rice paper products, postcards, posters and much more.
This is the second such fund-raising event in AIT. Proceeds from the first, a few months ago, are now supporting the education of four underprivileged girls between 11 to18 years old in remote Nepal.
Donations of items such as story books, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers and other school supplies are welcome.
