AIT High Performance Computer Cluster inaugurates 16 March
The AIT High Performance Computer Cluster will be inaugurated on Friday, 16 March 2007, at Milton E. Bender Auditorium and will be followed by a special seminar.
At 9:00 a.m., the seminar will start an introduction by Dr. Voratas Kachitvichyanukul and the welcome address by Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President. From 9:30 - 10:00 a.m., there will be the report on Thai GRID project status by Dr. Putchong Uthayopas, Director of National Thai GRID Technology Project. Then, a panel discussion on 'HPC Activities at AIT, Past, Present, and Future', to be chaired by Dr. Voratas, will take place from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Panel members will be: Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Dean of School of Engineering and Technology; Dr. Paul Janecek, Computer Science and Information Management; Dr. Chen Xiaoyong and Dr. Kyoshi Honda, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems; and Dr. Giao Huy Pham, Geosystem Exploration and Petroleum Geoengineering.
