12-14 September: WEM workshop on freshwater resources in South and Southeast Asia

The Water Engineering and Management Field of Study, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), and the United Nations Environment Programme, next week will jointly organize a Review Workshop on Vulnerability Assessment of Freshwater Resources in South and Southeast Asia. It will be held on 12-14 September 2007 at the AIT Conference Center.

Through open discussions, the Workshop is intended to review and finalize the findings and relevance of the outcomes of the study which covers the South and Southeast Asia sub-regions, including four international river basins namely, Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna, Indus, Helmand, and Mekong. It will be attended by experts and policy makers from at least 10 countries in South and Southeast Asia, as well as representatives from UNEP and other research partners.
