The Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN) will organize the second GMSARN International Conference 2007 on "Sustainable Development: Issues and Prospects for the Greater Mekong Subregion", to be held on 12-14 December 2007 at the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand.
The conference's objective is to initiate and stimulate international discussion on the various developmental challenges and opportunities in the GMS. Specifically, the conference would engage in the areas of energy, environment, natural resource management, and development planning. Aside from providing a great opportunity for the participants to establish future research links, the conference is also envisaged to generate shared solutions in the end. The findings and recommendations from the conference will be useful for the GMSARN in its research programs as well as for future GMS research projects.

October 19, 2007: Deadline for early bird registration and full paper submission
Early registration fee is 10,800 Baht. Late or on-site registration fee is 12,600 Baht. For participants from GMSARN member institutions, the registration fee is 7,000 Baht. Student fee is 5,000 Baht. This fee covers lunch, refreshments, welcome dinner, and conference kit. (Local participants may pay the fee in the equivalent Thai Baht currency).
