The Asian Institute of Technology and SPAR Mechatronics Co., Ltd will conduct a New Small 5-axis CNC Machine for Educational and Industrial Training Seminar to be held at the AIT Conference Center on 05 March 2008, 8:30 a.m.
Introduction
The seminar will introduce the small 5- axis CNC training machine tool developed jointly by Spar Company and AIT with support from the Royal Thai Government. 5-axis milling has many advantages compared to the very common 3 axis CNC machine tools. However, to benefit from this advanced technology there is an urgent need to provide the universities, technical colleges and industry with a platform that is economic and satisfies the demand for advanced know how in the area of 5-axis machining. The machine will be demonstrated together with the proposed teachware. The participants will be invited to provide their points of view. The invited speakers will brief the participants about the current and future need for training and research in advanced 5-axis machine tools.
