University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis is the second largest multi-disciplinary university in France with 25,000 students. About Prof. Philippe Gourbesville:
Prof. Gourbesville has held the position of Director of Polytech'Nice-Sophia - Engineering School of University Nice - Sophia since September 2007. He is also the Coordinator of the European Joint Master Degree (MSc) "Euro-Aquae-Hydroinformatics and Water Management" course supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus Mundus framework.
Prof. Gourbesville is an invited and visiting Professor in reputed universities such as University of Technology Brandenburg Cottbus (Germany), University of Sciences and Economy Budapest (Hungary), Polytechnic University of Catalunya - Barcelone (Spain), Newcastle University (United Kingdom), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale Lausanne (Switzerland), Beijing University of Technology (China), Incheon University (Korea), Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (India), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (India).
He completed his Ph.D in May 1993 from Louis Pasteur University, Strasbourg I, France. His specialties are in the area of Hydrology, hydraulics (free surface flows) & hydroinformatics.
