To acquaint students with the program, TSF will deliver a short presentation at AIT on 13 September 2012, at 1800 hours in room TC201 of Telecoms (TC) building at the AIT campus. The presentation will be followed by question and answer session.
AIT has a partnership with TSF, and AIT has been hosting TSF's Regional base for Asia-Pacific since 2004. AIT students have been deployed across the Asia-Pacific on many occasions, and volunteers from AIT have been involved in local capacity building programs.
Selection procedure:
- Candidates should send their application (CV + cover letter) to asia@tsfi.org. Deadline for submission is 17 September 2012.
- TSF will pre-select a list of candidates and submit this pre-selection to AIT for approval. Only candidates who have been previously approved by their Dean and/or Advisor can participate in the TSF Training and become volunteers.
- Selected volunteers to be trained from 28-30 September 2012 will be informed by 24 September 2012 at the latest.
Applicants should be aware that missions require a minimum availability of two weeks, and that students will have to catch up on classes and/or exams missed during the mission upon their return.
Once the training has been completed, the new volunteers will join TSF's roster of volunteers for emergency response in Asia-Pacific. When on mission, all costs linked to a volunteer's participation are covered by TSF (flights, accommodation and food).
