A talk on “Nanotechnology for herbal extract in cosmeceuticals” will be delivered conducted by Associate Professor Ubonthip Nimmannit (NanoCosme Lab, NANOTEC) January 20 between 16:00 – 16:45 hours at Room 102, First Floor, Outreach Building at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).Abstract: Nanotechnology is an advanced technology that involves working with particles at nanometer scale with structure size being 100 nanometers or smaller.

A three day workshop on Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) in Asia will be organized by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) from 19-21 January 2011. TNA is a capacity building project to enable participating countries to identify their technology needs for mitigation and adaption.

A video conference lecture "Reflections on COP16" by Prof. Rajendra Pachauri, Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), General Director, TERI University, India, will be broadcast on 7 January 2011 from 10.30-11.30 am at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium at AIT. The lecture is part of an international, multi-institutional, advanced seminar series under the Asia Pacific Initiative (API). It will be moderated by Dr. Srikantha Herath, Senior Academic Programme Officer, United Nations University.
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is organizing a training program on using BIlan Carbon spreadsheets to calculate greenhouse gas emissions. The training focuses on real life examples and hands-on analyses. The six day training program from 5-10 January 2011 will be held at the AIT Conference Center.
