intERLab hosts workshops

AIT's Internet Education and Research Laboratory (intERLab) is planning to host its collaborative training event, which is held once a year, with Asia Pacific Network Information Centre of Brisbane, Australia, from 13 to 16 June 2006 at AIT. The courses will include a three-day Routing Essentials Workshop, which was designed to help networking professionals identify the design requirements in running a network; perform Internet protocol addressing best practices for the network infrastructure; configure a router running in a simulated network environment; use appropriate routing protocols that will handle the traffic flow to address the reliability, redundancy, and performance requirements of a network; and a one-day Internet resource management essentials course.

AIT, Thammasat and Science Park to hold 'Tri-Institution Sports Day'

The three neighboring institutes, AIT, Thammasat University and National Science and Technology Development Agency, are coming together for a friendly sports competition dubbed the 'Tri-Institution Sports Day' on 30 June 2006. This activity, which is to be hosted by Thammasat this year, aims to forge harmony and friendly relations between faculty and staff of the three institutions.

The 105th AIT Graduation Ceremony on 24 May 2006 will be held at the Thailand Science Park Convention Center located behind AIT's campus.

In view of the change in venue, a slight adjustment in schedules is as follows:

On 10 May at 1 p.m., the Doctoral Progress Review Committee (DPRC) progress meeting will be held at Room 210, Administration Building.

Ms. Ornprapa Pummakarnchana (RSD027270), a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Technical Science in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems FoS, School of Engineering and Technology will have her comprehensive final examination on Wednesday, 10 May 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in Room W208 (Academic Building)

Her dissertation's title is 'Real-time Air Pollution Monitoring in Urban Environment using Internet GIS'.

AIT's Student Union announces the 'Bangkok International Latin Culture
Festival' from 21 to 23 April 2006.

This cultural event, the first in its kind in Thailand, takes advantage of
the growing interest in the Latin culture and an expanding number of people
enjoying Latin music and dance expressions around Asia.
