AITAA RESEARCH GRANT
The AITAA Research Grant is supplemental to available funds at AIT to enable
students to carry out research in their home countries on problems of national
importance. Applications for the AITAA Research Grant are now
being accepted. The Selection Guidelines are as follows:
AITAA Research Grant Selection Guidelines:
Select the best research topic, based on the following priority considerations:

Research on the development of technologies appropriate to the resources
and needs of developing countries. -
Case studies or country-specific studies that will assist in the formulation
of national policies, strategies and plans. - Research on the positive and negative impact of technology transfer.

Development of database to be used in the formulation of integrated national
policies, strategies and action plans. -
Feasibility studies on specific areas related to development projects under
consideration.
The applicants should satisfy the following conditions:
- The aplicant must be second or third term student in the Master's program

The proposal must have well-presented objectives and methodology. it
must be relevant and feasible. - The proposal must be approved by the examination committee.
Students supported by a research grant from their scholarship donor
are not
eligible
Application forms are available at the Alumni Office, Administration
Building (Room No. 110). Application forms together with the approved
proposal must be submitted on or before 26 May 2000.
