The AIT Entrepreneurship Center (EC) invites you to take part in "AIT's fight against COVID-19" by submitting your ideas and projects in this open call. We seek projects that can create real impact to fight COVID-19 within 6 month. Our President has released 250k Baht to fund several projects of up to 50k Baht per project for a proof-of-concept (POC), follow up funding needs to be arranged on individual project bases.

AIT Closure
The Asian Institute of Technology is closely monitoring the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. The health, safety and well-being of our AIT community is our top priority, while pursuing our education mission.
The Asian Institute of Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chutiporn Anutariya, Associate Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the School of Engineering & Technology as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs effective as of 1 February 2020 to 31 December 2021.
As Associate Dean, she will assist the Dean in dealing with the students, recruitment of new students, curriculum review and development, coordinating special programs and academic affairs.
Dr. Chaklam Silpasuwanchai, has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) in School of Engineering and Technology (SET), effective from January 2020.
Dr. Chaklam received his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (First class honor) from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, Thailand.
Dr. Anal joined AIT as an Assistant Professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) in August 2009 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2014.
He obtained his PhD in Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology and M.Sc. in Bioprocess Technology degrees from AIT in 2003 and 1998, respectively.
Dr. Sasaki joined AIT as an Associate Professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) in 2016. Prior to his appointment at AIT, Dr. Sasaki was Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Applied Informatics, University of Hyogo, Japan from 2004 to 2015.

Dr. Shrestha joined AIT as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) in November 2009 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2015. Dr. Bonaventura H. W. Hadikusumo has been promoted to the rank of Professor. This follows approval by the Board of the Trustees at its meeting held on 31 January 2019.
Dr. Hadikusumo joined AIT as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) in July 2002 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in April 2009.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Construction Management from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong in 2001. Dr. Hadikusumo graduated from AIT in 1998, during which he earned his Master of Engineering (M.Eng.
Dr Shobhakar Dhakal has been promoted to the rank of Professor. This follows approval by the Board of the Trustees at its meeting held on 31 January 2019.

Dr. Mohana Sundaram Shanmugam has joined Water Engineering and Management program in the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) as Assistant Professor.
Dr. Shanmugam obtained his PhD from IIT, Madras, India and completed his postdoc from University of Nebraska at Lincoln, USA. His research interests include irrigation water management, groundwater recharge estimation, soil moisture monitoring and modelling in unsaturated zone, chemical leaching modelling into the groundwater systems, remote sensing and GIS applications for water resources and agriculture and time series and geostatistical modelling of environmental observations.
