AITAA RESEARCH GRANT
Application & Guidelines

The AITAA Research Grant is supplemental to available funds at AIT enabling
students to go back to their home country to work on problems of national
importance. The AITAA is now inviting applicants. Students with research
grants from their scholarships are not eligible. Please observe the following
guidelines:

AITAA Research Grant Selection Guidelines:

Select the best research topic taking into account the following
priority areas:

  • Research on developing of technologies appropriate to the resources
    and needs of developing countries.

  • Case studies or country-specific studies on problem areas to assist
    in the formulation of national policies, strategies and plans.

  • Research on the impact and problems derived from technology transfer.
  • Development of database for the formulation of integrated national
    policies, strategies and action plans.

  • Feasibility studies on specific factors related to development projects
    under consideration.

Applications are bound by the following requirements:

  • Applicants should be Master's students in their second or third terms
  • The proposal should have well presented objectives, methodology;
    relevance; feasibility

  • It should be approved by the examination committee.

Entry forms are available at the Alumni Office, Administration Building
(Room No. 110). Application Form together with the approved Proposal must
be submitted on or before 15 September 2000.
