Newly-elected BMA Governor
Mr. Samak Sundaravej
to lecture at AIT
Mr. Samak Sundaravej, newly elected Governor of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), will address infrastructure issues pertaining to the sustainable development of Bangkok as a major metropolis with over 6 million people, at a lecture to be held on Wednesday, 20 Sept. from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the AIT Auditorium. The lecture will be conducted in Thai. It is being organized by the Asian Center for Transportation Studies (ACTS) in the School of Civil Engineering in collaboration with the Thai Society for Transportation Studies (TSTS), with sponsorship by Yontrakit Intersales Co., Ltd. Mr. Samak's lecture is entitled, 'Infrastructure: Bangkok Governor'.
Mr. Samak will share his overall vision and policy concerning urban management, specifically addressing Bangkok's infrastructure development. He will tackle such issues as traffic safety and transportation systems, health and environmental sanitation, water treatment and supply systems, and the provision of social services and education
