PROFESSORIAL APPOINTMENT
With the endorsement of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce the promotion in academic rank of Dr Yordphol Tanaboriboon, SCE/Transportation and Infrastructure Engineering Program, from Associate Professor to full Professor effective 1 July 2000.
Prof. Yordphol has been associated with the Institute since 1980. He is a renowned researcher in the fields of transport planning and traffic engineering, with his academic contributions highly evaluated worldwide. Regional studies, such as pedestrian movement, traffic accident, and public bus system, in particular, are the most prominent fields of his contribution both in academic and in practical viewpoints.
We congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition of his contributions to our Institute and his profession.
