UEEM/SERD SPECIAL LECTURE on 'Water Management in South Africa'
The Urban Environmental Engineering and Management Program/ SERD is
organizing a special lecture on 'Water Management in South Africa' ,
by Mr. Jay Bhagwan, on Monday, 13 November 2000 at 10.00-11.30
h, in Room E222, Academic Building.
Mr. Jay Bhagwan, Research Manager at the South African Water Research
Commission, has a BSc Eng. (CIVIL) Degree from Nagpur University-India,
Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Municipal Engineering in developing areas),
Wits University, South Africa and an MSC Eng. Tropical Public Health Eng.
from the University of Leeds, UK. Has been involved for over
ten years in the low cost water supply and sanitation arena, and specialises
in low cost water and sanitation technology, institutional transformation
and development, management of reticulation systems, water conservation
and demand management in urban areas, urban catchment management, leakage
and water loss management.
All UEEM students are expected to attend. Interested persons are
