Japanese iron and steel exporters meet at AIT
Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President, welcomed sponsors of the 25th seminar of the Japan Iron and Steel Exporters Association that was held at AIT on 17-18 October. This was the association's first seminar outside Japan.
AIT signs partnership agreement with Mekong River Commission
In line with its objective to meet the continuing need for advanced education in engineering, science and technology in the Asia-Pacific region, AIT has signed a partnership agreement with the Mekong River Commission (MRC), on 11 October.

AIT Donors' Meeting
16 and 17 October 2000
As a follow-up to the Stakeholders' Forum held in September 1999, the two-day Donors' Meeting, held on 16-17 October, addressed the challenges currently faced by the Institute. The meeting gave the Institute an opportunity to acknowledge the support of its donors and to discuss with them the current status of AIT and its future course.

Swedish Support to AIT
Scholarships valued at SEK 12 million (THB 52,000,000) were presented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) to AIT, as part of a support agreement valued at over SEK 22 million (THB 95,000,000) that was signed on Thursday, 12 October, at the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.
AITAA DOCTORAL CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
With support from this year's AITAA Doctoral Conference Participation Program, Mr. Keattisak Sripimanwat, a Doctoral degree candidate in Telecommunications, participated in the 'IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference Fall 2000 (VTC2000)', held at the World Trade Center, Boston, USA, on 24-28 September.
