Members reviewed and approved the draft report of the 27 June 2000 RPC which will incorporate comments and suggestions made at the meeting.

AIT Korea Week
Korea 50 Years: 1950-2000

AIT Korea Week, under the theme 'Korea 50 years: 1950-2000', was held recently to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Korean War. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and AIT with sponsorship from Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Korea National Tourism Organization, and the AIT Alumni Association Korea Chapter.

Library offers students access to the Internet

A CLAIR Internet Terminal Room, inaugurated on July 7, provides more opportunities for AIT students to access the Internet. The 14 computers in the Room were presented by the Japanese Government through a Japanese Equipment Grant to the AIT Library.

Sumitomo Foundation Research Grant

The Sumitomo Foundation is now inviting applications for its fiscal year
2000 research grant for Japan-related research projects. The applicants must be
Asian researchers and the projects must be in the fields of social sciences or
humanities and related to Japan in some way.

Monthly Insecticide Spraying

Please be informed that the monthly insecticide spraying will be carried out on Thursday, 13 July 2000, starting from 9:00 a.m. Please keep your valuable items in a safe place to prevent loss or damage.

We have maintained a list of those tenants who do not wish to have their units sprayed.

June at AITCV
Prof. Himangshu Paul, SOM Dean, paid a working visit to CFVG from 19-23 June 2000 to interview candidates for SOM's Bilingual French-English MBA. He interviewed potential candidate to AITCV's EMBA program. Prof. Paul held an Information Session with MPDF staff about the EMBA program which will start in August 2000.
