SERD FACULTY AND STAFF Get Together

At its Get Together Day on 25 January 2002, the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) organized a cluster of events with the Agricultural and Aquatic Systems and Engineering (AASE) Program taking the lead. The Get Together Day was opened by AIT President, Prof. Jean-Louis Armand. The event featured the presentation of certificates of appreciation and a bowling tournament and distribution of prizes. SERD hosted a lunch for all faculty and staff members.

Prof. Armand presented Certificates of Appreciation to retiring faculty members as follows: Dr. Apisit Eiumnoh of the Rural Development, Gender and Resources Program, Prof. C. Kwei Lin of the AASE Program, and Prof. Samorn Muttamara of the Urban Environmental Engineering and Management Program. Certificates of Appreciation were also presented to faculty members leaving AIT on completion of their contracts. The recipients were Dr. Kathe R. Jensen of the AASE Program, Dr. Lee Seung-Hwan of the UEEM Program, Prof. Thierry Lefevre of the Energy Program, Dr. Per H. Nielsen of the UEEM Program, Dr. Elias A. Retulainen of the Processing Technology Program, Dr. John A. Rubin of the AASE Program, and Dr.-Ing. J. Trankler of the UEEM Program. Also honored was Dr. Sri Niwas Singh of the Energy Program who has resigned.
