Prof. Ryuzo Yokoyama (left), Visiting Professor in the Space Technology
Applications and Research Program.

Prof. Yokoyama is an internationally recognized researcher in image
processing, remote sensing, and environmental data analysis.

Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, led an SCE faculty delegation in representing AIT at the Workshop on Rural Road organized by the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN), which was held on 23-24 May 2002 at the World Vision Office in Phnom Penh.

Dr. Srivastava (left), a Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, secured his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.

Promotion to Professor

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Dr Stephen OGUNLANA (left) to the rank of Professor, SCE / Structural Engineering & Construction Program, effective 1 July 2002. This new appointment to the rank of Professor was endorsed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees at its meeting on 23 May 2002.

Dr Ogunlana has been associated with the Institute since 1990. His major areas of specialization are construction economics, project management, productivity improvement, and dynamic modeling & simulation.

H.E. Mr. U Myo Myint, Ambassador of Myanmar

On April 30, H.E. Mr. U Myo Myint, Myanmar Ambassador, and his wife made a visit to AIT to discuss on cooperation between Myanmar and the Institute as well as ways and means to increase the number of Myanmar students at AIT.

Prof.
