AIT's 96th Gradawards

Occasionally, AIT also awarded graduation prizes to 11 graduates listed below in recognition of their outstanding academic works. Most of them are graduates from School of Advanced Technologies .

The Hisamatsu Prize

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung (M.Eng., Computer Science.)

Mr. Hung, a Vietnamese citizen, obtained his B.Eng. degree, majoring in Telecommunications, from Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2001.
Thesis: Logic Programming Based Proof Procedure for Trust Management
Advisor: Prof. Phan Minh Dung

The James A. Linen III Memorial Prize

Miss Sarawadee Ekpanyapong (M.Eng., Information Management)

Miss Sarawadee from Thailand graduated with a B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 1999. Prior to joining AIT, Miss Sarawadee worked as an Engineer at Shin Satellite Public Company Limited, Thailand.
Thesis: Music XML Computation Framework and Its Applications
Advisor: Prof. Vilas Wuwongse

The Tim Kendall Memorial Prize

Mr. Phung Quang Khang and Miss Roongnapa Poonsakchaitadet (M.Eng., Industrial Engineering)

Mr. Khang, a Vietnamese citizen, obtained his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam in 1990.

Prior to joining AIT, Mr. Khang worked as Manager of Technical Department at Thuduc Electro-Mechanical Company, Vietnam.
Thesis: A Fuzzy-Based Approach to Aggregate Production Planning: A Case Study

Miss Roongnapa from Thailand obtained her B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 1996. Miss Roongnapa worked as an Engineer at Thai Paper Company Limited, Thailand, before joining AIT.
Thesis: Genetic Algorithm for Two-Phase Trim Loss Problems in Paper Industry

Mr. Sabastien Edeline (M.Eng., Manufacturing Systems Engineering)

Mr. Edeline from France received his B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure d? Arts et Metiers, France in 2000.

The Werner Von Siemens Excellence Award

Mr. Panus Nattharith (M.Eng., Mechatronics)

Mr. Panus from Thailand graduated with a B.Eng. degree in Electrical from Chiangmai University, Thailand, in 2000. Prior to joining AIT, Mr. Panus worked as Lecturer at Naresuan University, Thailand.
Thesis: Machine Vision Based Control of Multiple Robots in Playing Soccer

The Institute Prize

Mr. Damrongsak Tongsomporn (M.Eng., Microelectronics)

Mr. Damrongsak, a Thai citizen, obtained his B.Eng. degree in Electronics from King Mongkut?s Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang, Thailand, in 2000. Mr. Damrongsak worked as a Test Engineer with ReadRite (Thailand) Company Limited, Thailand, before joining AIT.
Thesis: Design of DDR-SDRAM Controller in a Re-Configurable Computing System for Digital Image Processing

Ms. Urairat Ritprasitchai and Mr. Teerayut Horanont (M.Sc., Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Systems)

Ms. Urairat from Thailand obtained her B.Sc. degree in Rural Technology from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 1999. She worked as an ISO staff at Thai Nisca Goko Company Limited, Thailand, before joining AIT.

Mr. Teerayut from Thailand received his B.Arch. degree from Chulalongkorn University.

Ms. Suthinee Thanapirom (M.Eng., Telecommunications)

Ms. Suthinee from Thailand has her B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 2001.

The Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC) Prize


Mr. Muthuthanthrige Kumudu Wasantha (M.Eng., Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications)

Mr. Wasantha, a Sri Lankan citizen, obtained his B.Sc.Eng. in Telecommunications from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 1994. He worked as an Engineer at the Lanka Bell (PVT) Limited, Sri Lanka, before joining AIT.
Thesis: Adaptive Modulation Techniques for OFDM-CDMA Based 4 G Mobile Networks
