MOU Signing between AIT and American International University-Bangladesh

On December 19, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the American International University-Bangladesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote international cooperation in education and research towards institutional capacity-building. According to the 5-year MOU, the cooperation will cover the following broad areas: research projects, academic development programs, exchange of researchers and students, and exchange of publications, reports and other academic information.

The American International University-Bangladesh is a non-profit, non-sectarian private university pioneering in quality computer based education. The University Grants Commission evaluated and approved the academic program of AIUB on November 8, 1994 and the Government permission was obtained on November 6, 1995. The university is committed to excellence and innovation in computer-based education, discovery and application of knowledge through research and creative activities with the objective of producing professionals responsive to the needs of the community and the society.
