SERD Opens First Colloqium

On February 20, 2003, 3:00 p.m. in room S101, the School of Environmental, Resources and Development (SERD) will open the 1st SERD Colloquium on Natural Systems for Water Pollution Control

SERD colloquium is arranged to provide an informal platform for researchers in the similar field of interest to exchange experiences and visions on their ongoing activities.

The 1st theme of colloquium focus on 'Natural Systems for Water Pollution Control', which is planned as follows:

  • Overview and Future Perspectives by Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Dean SERD
  • Microbiological Aspects of Natural Treatment Systems (10 min) by Dr. Oleg Shippin, EEM
  • Potentials of Natural Wetlands for Wastewater Treatment (10 min) by Dr. Ole Pedersen, ITCZM
  • A Case Study on Constructed Wetlands at Haad Yai Municipality, Songkla Province by Dr. Somsak Boromthanarat, ITCZM
  • Case Study on Constructed Wetlands for Septage Treatment by Dr. Thammarat Koottatep, EEM
  • A Case Study on Anaerobic Ponds (10 min) by Mr. Binod Kumar Rajbhandari, EEM Doctoral Student
