Visiting AIT

On Wednesday, February 12, 2003, a delegation from the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) and the International Research and Development Academy (IRDA) visited AIT. The visit intends to facilitate academic exchange with SERD and SAT faculty members and to investigate further collaborations with AIT as a whole.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2003, Japanese-Vietnamese Geoinformatics Committe (JVGC) Chairman and Committee Chairman of the Environment and Natural Resources of National Assembly, S.R. Vietnam H.E. Dr. Nghiem Vu Khai and Prof. Bui Hoc, President of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology and Joint Secretary, JVGC visited AIT.

The visit aimed as follows: Cooperation in Geoinformatics between AIT and Vietnam under the aegis of JVGC; cooperative research in Geoinformatics; exchange of students and researchers; organization of training programs in Vietnam and organization of GIS-IDEAS 2004 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

On February 19, 2003, Dr. Heinrich Geiger, Head of Asia Department, KAAD (German Catholic Academic Support Services for Foreign Students) visited AIT. His visit aimed at KAAD's scholarship program expansion support and collaboration with AIT.
