Education, Science & Training Counsellor of the Embassy of Australia visited AIT
On May 8, 2003, Mr. Robert Noakes, Counsellor (Education, Science & Training), the Embassy of Australia, visited AIT and met with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, President, Provost, Registrar, Dean of SERD, and senior faculty to discuss the proposed initiative from AIT to forge partnerships/linkages with Australian universities, State and Federal Governments, and AUS-AID to promote academic as well as commercial linkages particularly in the fields of Environment, Poverty Alleviation, and Sustainable Development.
The Australian Embassy will assist AIT to coordinate the upcoming mission to Australia, and Mr. Noakes will arrange all the meetings with the various universities, Government sectors, and Aid agencies on behalf of the AIT delegation.
Mr. Noakes' support and cooperation will be vital to the success of the new initiative, and he assured AIT President, Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, of this commitment to this endeavour.
