Visiting AIT

On November 3, 2003, a 20-member delegation from Mattel offices in Hong Kong and Bangkok visited AIT.
During the visit, the delegation met with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President, and Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Provost.
The visit is aimed to explore potential research or other collaborative projects in the fields of automation and manufacturing engineering. The delegation also expressed interest in using AIT's expertise in human resource development for their training programs as well as sponsoring scholarships for highly qualified AIT students who will later serve in the company's staff recruitment program.

On November 7, 2003, Mr. Olivier Serrat, Senior Project Economist, Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Mekong Department, Asian Development Bank visited AIT.
During his visit he met with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President; Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Provost; Dr. Nazrul Islam, Acting Dean/SOM and Coordinator, ADB - AIT Networking; and Dr. Pritam K. Shrestha (right), Program Specialist, ADB - AIT Networking.
Mr. Serrat's visit was aimed at presenting and discussing an ADB Technical Assistance (TA) Concept Paper on Capacity Building in collaboration with AIT related to ADB's Tonle Sap Initiative in Cambodia (See http://www.adb.org/Project/tonle_ sap/)
