Visiting AIT

On November 20-22, 2003, a six-member delegation from the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) visited AIT on the invitation of AIT President, Professor Jean-Louis Armand.
The EVN delegation consisted of Dr. Lam Du Son, Vice President, Head of delegation; Ms. Le Thi Minh Thu, Deputy Director, Personnel and Training Department; Mr. Nghiem Van Lap, Expert, International Cooperation Department; Ms. Doan Thi Dung, Expert, Financial and Accounting Department and Ms. Phan Thi Hong Hanh, Expert, Personnel and Training Department.
The visit was aimed to enhance the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Electricity of Vietnam and AIT signed on March 23, 2001 and to facilitate further cooperation between EVN and AIT. Topics of mutual interest and concern discussed among others were:
- Continuation of EVN scholarships for master programs at AITVN and AIT.
- Distribution of official information about any AIT courses offered to EVN annually
- EVN's interest in Master's degree course on Gas-fired Power Plant Technology newly proposed by AIT together with EVN's efforts to have its staff join the program in 2004.
- EVN's interest in courses on Hydropower and Master program with emphasis on energy management that shall be promptly made available by AIT.
- Facilitation of student's studies
