Visiting AIT
On January 19, 2004, Mr. Hiroshi Oe, Minister; Mr. Tomoyoki Yoshida, Counsellor and Mr. Atsushi Ozu, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan visited AIT.

New Appointments
The Institute is pleased to announce the appointments of Mrs. Boontharee Phoonchai as Head of the AIT Library with effect as of 1 January 2004; Mr. Jiraphong Bumpenyoo as Officer of the Arboretum Project with effect from 1 February 2004; and Mr. Nimit Chantakote as Security, Sports and Safety Officer with effect from 1 February 2004. The Head of the AIT Library will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Library and will work closely with the Library Committee.

SERD ensures AIT community quality and safe living environment
SERD recently ensured AIT community that they live in a good environmental condition
and quality of life through some results found from the School's contribution in various activities.
His Excellency Mr. Jose Ramos-Horta (above right), Timor-Leste's Senior Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, will be the third lecturer in the Nobel Laureates and Eminent Persons Lecture Series hosted at AIT by the International Peace Foundation in partnership with various organizations and institutions in Thailand.
Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
January 26 - 29, 2004: 'International Conference on Wastewater Treatment for Nutrient Removal and Reuse 2004 (ICWNR '04)' is organized by the Environmental Engineering and Management (EEM) of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). Supported by the International Water Association (IWA), the conference will be held at the AIT Conference Center.
AITAA Mother Chapter to host ALUMNI 2004 Get Together Party
The AITAA Mother Chapter will host an ALUMNI 2004 Get Together Party on February 6, 2004, 6:30 p.m. at the Amari Airport Hotel, Vipawadee Rangsit Road. This annual event not only promises a night of fun and entertainment, it will deliver camaraderie and networking among AIT's alumni.
