Dame Anita Roddick's lecture on Mar. 2


Dame Anita Roddick (right), founder and co-chair of the world renowned Body Shop will give a lecture on March 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the AIT Conference Center Auditorium.

Dame Anita, will speak on the topic 'Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Trade.' Her lecture is the sixth of the Nobel Laureates and Eminent Persons Lecture Series -- hosted at AIT -- by the International Peace Foundation in partnership with various organizations and institutions in Thailand.

Dame Anita received numerous awards for her leading role in the business world, for her humanitarian efforts and for her engagement in environmental issues. She received various honorary degrees and is the UK Ambassador for British Business. She was named a Dame of the Order of the British Empire in 2003. She has published various books such as 'Body and Soul,' 'Business as Unusual,' 'Take It Personally: How to Make Conscious Choices to Change the World' and in 2003 'A Revolution in Kindness' and 'Brave Hearts, Rebel Spirits.'

A Q&A; session will follow the lecture. Those wishing to talk more with Dame Anita or share their research efforts with her can join her at a reception in the AIT Conference Center Dining Hall after the lecture.
