Dr. Richard J. Roberts (right), Nobel Laureate for Medicine and a Research Director at New England Biolabs, Beverly, Massachusetts will give a lecture on February 5, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. in the AIT Conference Center Auditorium.
Scholarship Opportunities for Students from Myanmar
Partial scholarship opportunities for 2004 are now being offered by the Open Society Institute and Prospect Burma for students from Myanmar.
The scholarships will be given to students in many fields and also to those who have already been provided partial scholarships by other sources.

Visiting AIT
On January 29, 2004, Ms. Sandrine Mouchet and Mr. Jean-Paul Bouliou, officials from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Patrick Quidel, Regional Counsellor at the French Embassy in Bangkok visited AIT.

Professor Vilas M. Salokhe, faculty member of SERD was invited to serve as member of the Editorial Board of the new Journal of Bionics Engineering.
The Journal of Bionics Engineering is published by the Science Press, Beijing.

Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
February 4, 2004: Doctoral Seminars in Water Engineering and Management
The Water Engineering and Management Field of Study of SCE will lead a series of Doctoral Seminars starting February 4, 2004 at Room E220. To be held twice a month, the inaugural seminar will highlight two doctoral candidates, Mr. Chucheep Wongsupap who will talk on 'What is Euthrophication Modeling?' and Mr. Chanon Thaicharoen who will discuss the 'Analysis of Wastewater Discharge into the Upper Gulf of Thailand.
