SERD Faculty Re Appointed President of AAAE
Prof. Vilas Salokhe (right) of the Agricultural Systems and Engineering FoS, SERD was recently reappointed as President of the Asian Association for Agricultural Engineering (AAAE) for another term and for continuing to serve as Editor of the International Agricultural Engineering Journal (IAEJ) published quarterly.
In his personal congratulatory message, Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Dean SERD, said:
'Your re-appointment reflects the high recognition your peers bestow to
you for the leadership and contributions you have made to the Agricultural
engineering field which have resulted in improved agricultural practices in
Asia and worldwide. May I wish you continued success in this endeavour.'
AAAE was established in 1990 to strengthen the profession of agricultural
engineering in the region and beyond. Its main objective is to conduct various
professional activities to stimulate the communications and participations
of its members to further the profession of agricultural engineering. The
membership of AAAE is spread over 30 countries and has about 200 permanent
members and a few hundred additional regular members.
