Visiting AIT
On January 29, 2004, Ms. Sandrine Mouchet and Mr. Jean-Paul Bouliou, officials from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Patrick Quidel, Regional Counsellor at the French Embassy in Bangkok visited AIT.
During the visit, they met with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President; Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Dean SERD; Prof. Huynh Ngoc Phien, Dean SAT;
Prof. Nazrul Islam, Acting Dean, SOM; Dr. Kanchana Kanchanasut, Director, Distributed Education Center (DEC); Prof. Michiro Kusanagi, Field Coordinator, Space Technology Applications & Research Program (STAR), SAT; Dr Edsel Sajor, Acting Field Coordinator, Urban Environment Management (UEM), SERD; Prof Francois Joel Broustail, Bilingual Program Coordinator, SOM; Prof. Chettiyappan Visvananathan, Environmental Engineering and Management (EEM), SERD; Dr. Sivanappan Kumar, Energy Program (EP), SERD; Dr. Roland Amoussou-Guenou, French Regional Expert, SOM and Mr. Michel Chretien, French Regional Expert, (UEM), SERD
The visit was aimed to overview the actions supported by the French cooperation at AIT and to review the activities of Dr. Roland Amoussou-Guenou and Mr. Michel Chretien, French Regional Experts.
On the same day, Prof. Haruki Ueno (above right), Director of Intelligent Systems Research Division, National Institute of Informatics, Japan visited AIT.
During the visit Prof. Ueno met with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President; Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Provost and Prof, Huynh Ngoc Phien, Dean SAT.
Prof. Ueno also met with Dr. Kanchana Kanchanasut, DEC Director and visited the DEC facilities. He likewise paid a visit to ISE labs and met with ISE faculty.
