Asian Press representatives headstarts visit at AIT

Eight journalists representing media and publishing companies from People's Republic of China and Vietnam visited AIT on February 26, 2004.
The group is comprised of: Ms. Catherine Chen Ling, Work & Studying Aboard, Shanghai, China; Mr. Lin Hong Hao, Guangzhou Daily, Guangzhou, China; Ms. Chen Na, Shenzhen Evening Newspaper, Guangzhou, China; Mr. Chen Weiyuan, International Talent Magazine, Beijing, China; Ms. Hunag Yi-Ching, The Liberty Times, Taiwan; Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Saigon Economic Times, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Mr. Ngo Van Phong, Thuong Mai, Hanoi, Vietnam; and Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Ngan Hang, Hanoi, Vietnam.

The visit started in a meeting with Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President; Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Provost; Prof. Chongrak Polprasert, Dean SERD; Prof. Gajendra Singh, Dean AIT Extension, Dr. Xiayong Cheng, STAR Program, SAT and School administrative representatives at the Board Room, Admin. Building. After a briefing about AIT by Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President, a Q & A was opened to the media. The media were keen to know about AIT's academic programs, partnerships and scholarships, as well as student's admission procedures. A familiarization tour was followed with a visit at AIT's four schools: SERD, SCE, SAT and SOM.

The journalist's visit at AIT is the first of their itinerary to complement their media and observation tour prior to attending the Thailand International Education & Seminar (TIES) 2004 from February 27-29, 2004 held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadapisek-Asoke Road, Klong Toey Bangkok where AIT also participated.
